If there was an award for versatility, Honda's CB500 twin would get our vote. Fast, fine-handling and incredibly reliable, it’s both accommodating for learners and great fun for experienced riders. There's even a special UK race series for it, which has produced GP riders like James Toseland.

The CB500 handles city traffic and country roads equally well. Where it's a bit less happy is on motorways and fast A roads. Of course there's a version with a fairing, but for the standard model a bit of wind protection would be welcome. That's where the Dart flyscreen comes in, providing a good level of protection at motorway speeds.

For looks and performance, the CB500 is a modern day middleweight twin in the style of BSA and AJS/Matchless, so maybe we shouldn't have been too surprised that the screen suits it so well. Even so, we think it's a really successful fitment. Brackets are black anodised aluminium.
