Quality
We've been making the Dart flyscreen since 1997, and have an enviable reputation for quality - just read our testimonials. Even so, we're always looking to improve our product, and for 2005 we made a great commitment to change the way we make the screen. Previously, like almost every aftermarket manufacturer, we made our screens by thermoforming. Now, like BMW, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha, we injection mould our screens. Why? Because it gives us greater consistency, higher quality and the ability to get exactly what we want.
Your bike was built to a very high standard of fit and finish. Make sure that the accessories you choose are made to the same standards.
Style
Accessories should add something to the experience of riding and owning the bike. We believe that a screen should integrate with the bike's appearance and look like original equipment, rather than standing out. That's why we don't make “universal” screens - they always look like they don't quite belong.
You can be assured that our flyscreen will fit the intended bike perfectly, and look like an original equipment part.
Performance
The Dart has always performed remarkably well for its size, and for many has been the perfect compromise between running a naked bike and comfortable cruising.
Toughness is another aspect we've been looking at: the screen is a full 4mm thick and is now made from high impact Makrolon polycarbonate - the same material used by German car manufacturers for headlight lenses. We're convinced that it's one of the toughest screens of its type.
Attention to detail
When we design a screen for that 'original equipment' look, it is attention to detail that makes the difference. Look at the fittings for the Ducati Monster: we worked hard to find a supplier who could anodise our brackets to match Ducati's own headlamp brackets.
All our brackets are precision laser cut from aluminium alloy or stainless steel, then CNC folded and finished. Needless to say, we only use top grade stainless steel fasteners.
As for the screen itself, note the rounded, polished bead around the perimeter. Check out the recessed areas for the fittings. You can only do this with injection moulding - and that requires investment and commitment.
