Could this be the most authentic of the current retro bikes? The Kawasaki W800 exudes charm, high build quality and amazing attention to detail. Its predecessor, the W650, always had a cult following and the current model is likely to have a similar appeal to long-term owners.

The bevel drive parallel twin engine is brisk and economical, and has loads of character. Meanwhile, the preference for metal over plastic parts gives the bike a feeling of solidity and permanence.

For fitting the Dart Flyscreen, we decided to use a pair of steel brackets which attach discreetly to the top yoke, keeping the headlight area clear. The result is a neat, classic appearance that is completely in keeping with the rest of the bike. Brackets are finished in black powder coat.
