Will it fit my bike?
Fits Triumph America (all models) and Triumph Speedmaster from 2004-2011. These bikes both have the large 8" headlight. For Speedmaster 2012-2017 with the smaller headlight please see separate page. Similarly, for Speedmaster 1200 2018 onwards, see separate page. Note also that brackets for this model are no longer in stainless steel as pictured, but black powder-coated steel.

The Flyscreen is great. It looks great, the quality of the parts are top notch, and the fit and installation was relatively easy. I'm a tall rider, so the screen really only blocks my mid section, but that's enough of a difference on these California freeways where everyone is going 80+ mph that it makes the ride a lot more comfortable and less fatiguing. I planned to only install it for longer trips, but the look is subtle and unobtrusive enough that I'm happy to just leave it on all the time.

Perfect in form and function…. I was a bit worried about the Petrol Blue colour but its really only just a tinge of blue in it and as my bike is blue it looks fantastic…. easy to install but a set of mini sockets with an extention made it super easy… the tip about moving the headlight to the opposite side was a brilliant tip….as was leaving everything a little loose until you get it perfectly position will save you a lot of hassle…. I bought this for my America to fix the wind buffering problem at highway speeds and it did the trick for me. I’m about 5’9”. I can feel the wind striking the top of my shoulders. No more holding on with a death grip without a windscreen. And no more head buffering that was present with the “expensive” stock quick release screen. I also notice a huge reduction in wind noise as the air flow is smooth over my helmet. I also think the Marlin screen looks amazing! It has a more sporty look, but does not alter the bikes lines and classic look at all. Great job to Dart for developing a piece that works and looks great as well.
I can now enjoy the ride anywhere I go. I was actually not riding much cause of the buffering problems and even thought of selling my beauty. For a reasonable price, I love my America again. My buddies all think the Marlin screen looks amazing. They don’t know how it feels because I won’t get off of it now to let them ride with it!

Installed on my 2002 America. Took my time to get it right and decided to take the easy way and get rid of the wiring clip (Don't need it). Fits easily and really adds to the look of the bike. Yes it's not a full windshield but it doesn't pretend to be. Keeps a lot of wind of my chest and with today's new streamlined helmets that's enough. Doesn't vibrate on the highway like a lot of taller screens I've seen. Quality is fantastic, instructions easy to follow, product finish including brackets first class. I bought my 2016 Triumph Speedmaster brand new but I was disappointed with how I felt at just 110 kmph with the wind after having ridden many Hondas and Kawasakis at greater speeds than this. The Dart marlin performs remarkably well for a small screen, removes more than enough chest wind to cruise at greater speeds for longer without being blown off the bike. Does not get affected by side wind and fits the headlamp of my America very closely, with strong, sturdy, well designed easy to fit brackets, that makes everything line up perfectly.
I've black vinyl wrapped mine with a Triumph logo as unfortunately the midnight tint was no longer available. A very minimal amount of helmet buffeting can be felt at times, but not enough to be a problem, compared to the benefits gained from not having a screen at all. Well done Dart! Cheers Rizz.

Went straight off on a 350km ride and screen is excellent, has removed all the air pressure off my chest meaning I'm no longer hanging onto the bars with wind trying to pull me off. I was hoping the screen would not direct so much of the displaced wind at my helmet. My helmet has a drop down visor so the helmet is thick at the top of the face opening, ie brow area. It helped when I lowered the built in visor, but I still get a lot of noise and jostling at my helmet. The screen does do a good job of keeping the wind off my chest. I rode close to 300 miles in my first outing with the screen. There was a headwind of 10 mph, and my average speed was 55-65 mph. Riding with a tail wind or crossing wind was better. Have not tried it yet without a helmet, to see how much the helmet design ( half helmet type) contributes to the overall effect.

I replaced my smaller Classic Dart screen on my Triumph America with the larger Marlin screen.
Not only does it look better on the bike, it also gives you a lot more protection from the wind.

Here's my review of the Dart Marlin flyscreen as installed on my 2009 Speedmaster:
Ordering: I ordered mine from the Dart US website. It arrived 2 weeks later postmarked from England.
Installing: Installation was "fiddly", as described in the instructions, but only took 20 minutes or so. I used a 12mm socket with a long extension to reach the attachment bolts under the upper triple tree clamp. I had to cut a handlebar cable attachment tie to do the install.
Construction and appearance: The screen material and mounting hardware are solid, but not heavy. The brackets are brushed stainless. It would look better on my bike if they'd polished them more. The dark tint shield looks cool on my black/yellow SM. The shield rounds over the speedometer in a sweet curve. The overall look of the shield is very much in keeping with the rest of the bike. Purely as a cosmetic accessory, this shield is a winner!
Driving: I am pleased to report that the Dart Marlin screen doesn't affect handling at any speed, even in strong side winds. I am 5'8", with fairly wide shoulders. On me, the Marlin's wind shadow extends vertically to my collar bone and horizontally just inboard of my shoulders. My helmet and arms ride in clear air. I'd guess the screen cuts about 40-50% of the total wind force hitting my body. This is enough to greatly reduce the effort required to hang on at higher speeds. There is very little turbulence at the edges of the sheltered area, and zero buffeting around my helmet. Wind noise is slightly more than without the shield, but not bad at all: Unlike previous sport shields I've had, I can still hear my bluetooth headset while riding at freeway speed.
Bottom line: If you want to reduce the wind blast at highway speeds while preserving the "naked" bike riding experience, the Dart Marlin is a good-looking, practical choice.
