Just one suggestion - It would be good to include a couple of extra fasteners, especially the specialty items such as the screws that attach the screen to the brackets, and the special nuts that fasten to the back of the black screen bracket. They are easy to drop (always rolls into a crack under the work bench) and difficult to source locally.

This is the second time I bought from Dart Flyscreens and the quality is as superb as it was the first time also. So I got exactly what I expected. Both design and qualitiy are first class. However, I will have to check out the Classic and maybe the Piranha also as the noise level around my helmet caused by the Marlin has increased significantly. Nota bene that this is a very personal thing that has much to do with riders height and physiognomy. A taller or smaller rider might not get the wind where I am getting it now. I have much experience with Flyscreens (also others than Dart of course) in different motorcyles and one has to really search for the right size in order to get the best noise/ protection ratio. Very nice: Dart is offering three sizes, so it will be fine and maybe even more quiet with the smaller ones...

I did take my time in ordering the Marlin screen for CB1100 EX 2019. I wasn't convinced that it would make a big difference and I was right. The improvement in wind and buffeting protection is subtle but it does make a difference, just don't expect a massive change. The instructions are very good and the kit is very well engineered and I am an engineer. I was a bit surprised at how drastic the installation was as I had to take the headlamp and indicators to pieces on my brand new bike. The older model was far simpler install based on the videos I watched, however the instructions seem to anticipate everything, extremely well though out.
I like the fact there is a notch for headlamp alignment after everything is reassembled. If I could suggest an improvement for the future? Make the screen completely clear so that I can still see the chrome instruments and make the screen taller and wider. I find it amazing that my SH300i scooter with Honda or Givi screen is easier to cruise with at 70 mph then this 1140cc heavy bike with the Marlin screen. I don't suppose you will find a better screen in terms of looks and being sympathetic to the looks of the CB1100, however I think it could be better and I hope they make a different screen in future, I'd be happy to be a guinea pig.

The quality of the pieces are good, however, the stainless steel headlight brackets need to be thicker or cast like the aluminum Honda headlight bracket, because of vibration at certain speeds. The directions are very poor. There were also certain size screws missing and more screws than needed. I finally figured it out, and used Honda screws for headlight brackets. It looks great on CB1100EX . The screen is unfortunately too small for me and I have taken it off bike.

This is a great flyscreen for the newer 2017 and up Honda CB1100. It jiggles somewhat at low speeds and rough roads which is understandable with longer brackets. Once you get above 40 MPH everything smooths out considerably. I love it and it looks great on my 2017 Honda CB1100 EX. Excellent customer service.

Installation was a little tough on my cb1100. The headlight connection plates are a little too big to accommodate the bolts that came on the bike. Had to get some help from the shop. Otherwise, I love it!

I think the supplied mounting arms should have two or three position mount holes to allow for angular adjustment , other than that, very nice product.

After installing the fly screen my headlight bounces a lot and at night can drive me and on coming traffic crazy. Looking at the brackets used to hold the braces on seems flexible and the added weight exaggerates the movement. Any thoughts on how to stop this? Thank you. Otherwise itnlooks and keeps the wind off my chest makes riding easier.

The screen keeps most of the wind off my body but being 6'2" and on a bike with a slightly more agressive posture (not so upright seated) the wind still catches my helmet a little. The package has s sticker that syas : Fits 5 speed models up to 2013 model year" even though i had ordered the screen for 2014 Honda CB1100. The packing slip did indicate 'fits models up to 2016', so I took a chance and opened the package. The installation was easy as expected. It looks good on day 1. Should know more about its durability and wind/bug protection in 2 weeks when I ride from Denver to Albuquerque and back, about 860 miles round trip.

I really like the flyscreen. Although I did have to take the headlight bezel off and hold the nuts for the headlight bolts to get installed. Also the brackets do push the headlight forward about 3-4 inches. Both of those steps would be best put in the instructions. But it really does work well once installed.

I am happy with the Dart Marlin Flyscreen (light tint) for my Honda CB1100EX, 2017. Good quality and a fair price and when I rode on the motorway it definitely made a huge difference at speed and the ride was more pleasant. I was hesitant about the look before fitting but it looks as if it was grown there from the factory. It is a welcome addition.
Ideally the screen should come with a close fitting protective film so that it doesn't get marked while fitting.
Fitting took just over 1 hour. You'll need a 12mm spanner/socket and a set of Allen keys and a phillips screw driver. it is a shame that it cannot be fitted onto the original brackets without having to dismantle the entire headlight assembly because this is how the indicators are unplugged for rerouting through the new attachment brackets which are just about the same shape but thinner to accommodate the screen width. Take my word for it there is a lot of wiring in the headlight (think about taking headlight measurement settings before dismantling) and it is tight and tricky to get all the wiring back neatly in the original places. (You don't want to dazzle other road users with headlight set in wrong place because ...........they might not see you and your motorcycle.) I had to take my motorcycle to the local Honda dealer to get the headlight set again to the proper level. There is an MOT standard for headlight level/projection on motorcycles. I am delighted with the Marlin screen but I am sure that an easier bracket attachment setup/system could easily be manufactured that fits onto the existing bracket/bike parts without the headlight dismantling spanner work and indicator rewiring. It looks great and does it's job well .............but, what a work up fitting it.

A nicely made quality screen that really suits the bike. It was a bit more complicated to fit than anticipated - maybe more detailed fitting instructions and stage by stage pictures would help but that's being a bit picky. I would prefer it to be a couple of inches taller and wider to ease the wind pressure on my shoulders at speeds over about 75 but otherwise a real nice addition to a CB1100.

I am happy with the Dart Marlin Flyscreen (light tint) for my Honda CB1100EX, 2017. Good quality and a fair price and when I rode on the motorway it definitely made a huge difference at speed and the ride was more pleasant. I was hesitant about the look before fitting but it looks as if it was grown there from the factory. It is a welcome addition.
Ideally the screen should come with a close fitting protective film so that it doesn't get marked while fitting.
Fitting took just over 1 hour. You'll need a 12mm spanner/socket and a set of Allen keys and a phillips screw driver. it is a shame that it cannot be fitted onto the original brackets without having to dismantle the entire headlight assembly because this is how the indicators are unplugged for rerouting through the new attachment brackets which are just about the same shape but thinner to accommodate the screen width. Take my word for it there is a lot of wiring in the headlight (think about taking headlight measurement settings before dismantling) and it is tight and tricky to get all the wiring back neatly in the original places. (You don't want to dazzle other road users with headlight set in wrong place because ...........they might not see you and your motorcycle.) I had to take my motorcycle to the local Honda dealer to get the headlight set again to the proper level. There is an MOT standard for headlight level/projection on motorcycles. I am delighted with the Marlin screen but I am sure that an easier bracket attachment setup/system could easily be manufactured that fits onto the existing bracket/bike parts without the headlight dismantling spanner work and indicator rewiring. It looks great and does it's job well .............but, what a work up fitting it.

A nicely made quality screen that really suits the bike. It was a bit more complicated to fit than anticipated - maybe more detailed fitting instructions and stage by stage pictures would help but that's being a bit picky. I would prefer it to be a couple of inches taller and wider to ease the wind pressure on my shoulders at speeds over about 75 but otherwise a real nice addition to a CB1100.

I purchased the Marlin flyscreen for a 2013 Honda CB1100. The flyscreen is the standard tint. It looks great and provides adequate wind protection. It is a quality product, easy to install, and worth the price! Would I purchase it again if necessary? Absolutely!
